Pirn Hill Fort, Grey Mare's Tail and Neidpath Castle

Well, I promised some images from my little jaunt into the borders (at least, somewhere in the longest blog post ever I said I'd post an image or two!) - so here they are.

First of all, the view across the Tweed valley at Innerleithen with the rocks of the Neolithic Hill Fort of Pirn in the foreground

Next, one of the final shots from the Grey Mare's Tail, with a couple of mountain goats under the falls.

 

And finally, a shot along the Tweed towards Neidpath Castle. At the end of the day, with warm light and the slightly oily quality that cold water seems to have.
